Intermach 2019 gathers more than 200 exhibitors with releases and technologies to leverage innovation and industry 4.0

Intermach

The 12th edition of the event, from September 17 to 20, in Joinville, SC, will have fair, congress, seminars, workshops and business round. Among the exhibitors, Intermach will feature a German pavilion, a presentation of Industry 4.0 investments of the Taiwan Government and a Weld Vision welding championship for professionals.

The main metal-mechanic event in southern Brazil, Intermach gathers, from September 17 to 20, 2019, more than 200 exhibitors among the top suppliers of machinery, equipment, solutions and services for the sector. Highlights include releases, innovative technologies and services for the metal-mechanic industry and focused on the modernization of manufacturing facilities and industry 4.0.

The fair gathers exhibitors related to tooling, plastics, industrial automation, logistics, testing, boiler making, treatments, information technology, machining solutions, chrome plating, galvanization and metrology, among other suppliers focused not only on the strong industrial center of Santa Catarina, but also all over Brazil and Latin America. Among the international news, the highlight was the German pavilion and the program presentation for industry 4.0 of the Taiwan Government .

Professional qualification will be another aspect that gains reinforcement. Besides the Technical Congress, seminars, workshops, meetings and business round will be held.  “This is the only event for the sector in Brazil that, aside from visiting the fair, offers professional training, agility in closing deals in the round, plus a specific area dedicated to industrial services,” says Richard Spirandelli, director of Messe Brasil.

Traditionally, the fair concentrates qualified visitors from all regions of Brazil and other countries in Latin America and Europe. In addition to the rich professional qualification programming, Intermach will have for the first time the WeldVision Welding Championship that gathers professionals from local companies for the competition.

The headquarters of the event is another favorable point, as it takes place in the center of one of the most industrialized regions of the country, reasons that ensure its success among exhibitors and visiting professionals of the sector. “Santa Catarina concentrates a pole of internationally recognized technologies and cutting-edge companies and the strategic location between highly industrialized regions of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, are Joinville differentials to successfully host technical fairs from different segments,” says Spirandelli.

The German Pavilion brings companies and technologies from Bavaria to Intermach

The Bavaria Pavilion, a collective stand gathering Bavarian companies, all based in southern Germany, will showcase differential technologies, tools and mechanical and production engineering devices at Intermach. The focus of the German exhibitors’ participation in the event is to find partners and suppliers, as well as create contacts and business relationships to enter and/or expand their presence in the Brazilian market.

The program is offered by Bayern International GmbH, the Bavarian Office for International Business Relations, linked to the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, which enables the participation of Bavarian SMEs in international fairs, partially funded by the government.

The Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering of Bavaria offers a network of more than 450 associated companies in mechanical engineering. The Bavarian Trade Fair Participation Programme is an important export promotion and promotion instrument and it facilitates the raising of new international markets.

The manufacturing industry plays an indispensable role in Taiwan’s economy.  In order to be in accordance with the innovations required by Industry 4.0, the Government and local industries have come together and are promoting joint action since the end of 2016, when the “Industry Innovation Plan was released, placing smart machines at the center of the agenda.

Representing the Taiwan Government, Taitra – Taiwan Trade Center of Brazil will be at Intermach, in Joinville (SC), to announce the events organized by the institution. Visitors will be welcomed at their own stand, where they will be able to learn about the opportunities of attending the fairs in Taiwan and/or be a supplier of Taiwanese manufactured products in the Brazilian market.

Taitra is the most important trade promotion agency of the country, based in Taipei, with five domestic offices in Taiwan and 61 overseas offices worldwide. In 2020, the agency will hold the Intelligent International Machine & Manufacturing Technology Show (iMTDUO) in Taipei. In 2021, there will be another edition of the third largest machine tool fair in the world, TIMTOS.

Industry Innovation Plan Results

Soon after the release of the Industry Innovation Plan in 2016, the result did not take long to emerge. The following year, 2017, the production value of Taiwan’s machinery and equipment industry surpassed the trillion mark of NT$ (new Taiwanese dollar, the local currency).  In 2018, the value reached NT$ 1.18 trillion (over USD 37 billion), up 7.3% from the previous year.  Exports of machinery and equipment reached NT$ 825.7 billion (about USD 26 million), up 7.2%, which is a record for the Taiwanese economy.

Last year, the local government brought together the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and industry associations, aiming to improve the machines manufactured in the country, specifically the machine tool industry. This working group coordinated a number of actions that help and boost the pace of local industries on the Industry 4.0 route.

Weld Vision Welding Championship gathers local professionals

Weld Vision, specialized in welding and cutting equipment, holds at Intermach the first Weld Vision Welding Championship, which gathers professionals from local companies for the competition. The idea is to allow welders the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and abilities using the latest technologies available on the market.

Weld Vision has invited local industries and companies to enter pairs of experienced welding process professionals and competitors will be judged on the actual processes: MIG/MAG Carbon Steel, TIG Aluminum and Stainless Steel. The competition will be evaluated by a Judging Committee composed of members of educational institutions and experts in the field, following criteria of the American AWS and ASME technical standards.

The tests will be held at Weld Vision stand 102 in partnership with Messe Brasil at Intermach, from September 17 to 19, in sessions at 06:30 p.m. and 07:45 p.m., with live broadcast on the big screens of the stand. The three best pairs will be awarded on September 20 at 8 p.m. at the organizer’s stand. The pair winning at first place will be awarded with a MIG Maverick 165 Inverter, the second place winners with a Fusion 200 Electrode Inverter, and the third place winners with a Thunder Automatic Mask.  An electric SCOOTER will be drawn among the 6 finalists.

Besides promoting the welding championship for professionals, Weld Vision presents, in its stand, new welding technologies for industry 4.0. Visitors will also be able to test the augmented reality welding simulator, which can accurately detect welding efficiency and grade the performed process.
